Together, we’re making a difference

In 2025, ForAurora contributed the following:

  • Each month, over 800 families facing food insecurity visit our Marketplace Food Bank. But what we’ve discovered is that Marketplace provides more than groceries. It offers encouragement, a welcoming smile, and, most importantly, hope.

  • In 2025, the need grew significantly. The government shutdown and reductions in SNAP benefits hit families hard. On our first Thursday in November, we had a record-breaking day: 1,505 hot meals served and 469 boxes of groceries distributed. The need was overwhelming. But so was the generosity from our community.

  • Through Food For Kids, we are proud to now support six local schools, helping ensure that children return to school on Monday nourished, supported, and ready to learn.

  • We packed a record-breaking 1,500 Thanksgiving food boxes. Each box was thoughtfully assembled with culturally sensitive ingredients to honor and meet the diverse needs of those we serve.

For the first time, we also prepared more than 1,200 sandwiches, which were distributed to two homeless shelters in downtown Denver.

Through our Thanksgiving Food Drive, we served 14 local schools, one senior center, and valued community partners, including Arapahoe DHS, Save Our Youth, Sun Valley Youth Center, and families connected to our Marketplace Food Bank.

  • Our Christmas Store empowers parents and guardians to be the heroes of Christmas. We want them to say with honesty and pride, “I bought this for you.” Because of the growing need and the rising cost of living, we began receiving applications for the Christmas Store as early as September. Families were already feeling the strain, and many needed support sooner than ever before. Making this experience possible requires countless volunteer hours, donated gifts, and generous financial contributions from our community.

As a result of a collective effort, 881 children received Christmas gifts—and the families of those children felt seen, supported, and reminded that they’re not facing this season alone.

  • Once a month, a small group at Ehills gathers to prepare meals for Sox Place, a ministry serving homeless teens in our city. What began as a simple desire to help has grown into a powerful rhythm of service and impact. Through their commitment to show up, cook, and serve, 15,380 meals were distributed to Sox Place in 2025 alone. That’s 15,380 moments where a teenager facing homelessness received not just food, but a reminder that they matter—that someone cares.

It doesn’t take a lot of people to make a big difference. It just takes a group willing to show up, month after month, and do what they can with what they have.
